It may seem from my blog that I am this Google zealot and I am not. I am a fan of “things that add value”. Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that Google has slowly started to take over my desktop. I’m using more and more web based Google applications and my Microsoft OS is starting to get jealous. Here are the list of Google applications I use:
- Google Search — Duh
- Google Personal Homepage
- GMail
- Google Reader
- Google Synchronizer
- Google Toolbar
- Google Groups
- Google News
- Google Maps
- Google Calendar
- Google Photos
- Google Finance
- YouTube
Here are list of applications I wish were better:
- Google Desktop — “Stinks”
- Blogger — Wordpress has more robust features
- Linkedin — No one uses Orkut
Here are a list of applications I wish Google would come out with:
- Better Contact Management within GMail
- Google Drive —Just give me a way to map a drive from my OS
I guess this is why Google is trading at $500.
